PROFESSIONAL BIO

Jaspal (Jas) Dhesi, P.Eng is the President and CEO of GlentWorks Canada Inc. and one of Canada’s most credentialed welding engineers. With over 25 years of hands-on experience spanning welding engineering, quality assurance, pressure equipment inspection, and regulatory compliance, Jas brings a rare combination of technical depth and practical field expertise to every client engagement.

Before founding GlentWorks, Jas held senior engineering roles at globally recognized organizations — including General Electric (GE), Technical Safety BC, Wellons Canada CORP, and Isgec Heavy Engineering — building deep expertise across power generation, aviation, railway heavy fabrication, nuclear, oil & gas, structural steel, and industrial construction sectors.

At GE, he served for 8 years across multiple divisions including GE Aviation, GE Energy, and GE Transportation — serving as a Weld Certifying Agent, Quality Leader, and Manufacturing Process Manager. He led the greenfield setup of GE’s Multi-Modal Manufacturing facility in Pune with a $200M investment, delivered EN-15085 Class 2 Certification within 3 months, and received the GE South Asia CEO Award in 2016.

Jas holds more than 10 professional licenses and certifications, is a registered P.Eng in both British Columbia and Alberta, holds a Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI) designation from the American Welding Society, is a CWB Certified Welding Engineer under CSA W47.1 and W47.2, and is a National Board (NBBI) Certified Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector. He is also a trained IIW International Welding Engineer and a Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS).
