ASME Owner’s Inspector Services – Piping Systems

GlentWorks Canada Inc. provides independent Owner’s Inspector services for pressure piping systems in accordance with applicable ASME B31 codes. Our role is to support owners, operators, and contractors by ensuring full code compliance, quality assurance, and safe execution of piping fabrication and installation activities. We bring extensive experience in regulated inspection environments and provide practical, field-focused oversight aligned with project requirements and jurisdictional expectations.

We provide Owner’s Inspector support for the following ASME piping codes:

ASME B31.1 – Power Piping Systems

ASME B31.3 – Process Piping

ASME B31.9 – Building Services Piping

ASME B31.12 – Hydrogen Piping and Pipelines

All inspections are performed in alignment with applicable jurisdictional requirements, project specifications, and client QA/QC programs.

Scope of Services

Our Owner’s Inspector services typically include:

Review of engineering drawings, specifications, and ITPs

Verification of welder qualifications and procedure compliance (WPS/PQR)

Material traceability and certification review (MTRs)

Welding and fabrication surveillance

In-process and final inspection of piping systems

NDE coordination and review (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT)

Pressure testing oversight (hydrostatic / pneumatic)

Code compliance verification and documentation control

Final turnover package review and acceptance support
